Texerra
Jonathan Galusky serves Texerra as Apprentice Engineer. Jon is
a high school senior, being educated at home through parent-directed
study and correspondence through selected distance education
institutions. Jon will be taking courses at Midland College during his
senior year (2008-2009), to then continue at Midland to pursue an
associates degree in physics. Following this Jon plans to study
engineering at Texas A&M or Texas Tech.
Jon works with Texerra in the area of transportation energy
efficiency research. He has completed a project in evaluating the
cost-effectiveness of hybrid cars and SUVs, and has co-authored
(and co-presented) a talk to the Society of Petroleum Engineers
entitled, "U.S. Peak Oil: The Path(s) Forward".
In addition to his research with Texerra, Jon works as a technician
and sales representative with Peyton Bikes in Midland. Jon is a
point guard with the Midessa Warriors young men's basketball team
and is an altar server at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church.
